Jet Age Furniture
Jet Age Furniture was created by two friends Damien Mavis and Pat Arnold who met in grade school and realized at a young age they shared an interest in manufacturing and vehicle design. They both moved to San Luis Obispo California to attend California Polytechnic University to study Mechanical Engineering where Damien began to build furniture for himself and his friends as a hobby.
His designs were inspired by the engineering principles he was studying in school. During this time Damien and Pat enjoyed racing their off-road truck that they built together. While working on this project, their desire for designing and manufacturing new products continued to grow.
After graduating with degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Damien and Pat both went their separate ways with respect to their careers.
As Damien turned 30 years-old, he decided to turn his love of manufacturing, design, and furniture into a career, thus the inception of Jet Age Furniture.
He then recruited his longtime friend to help him turn his passion into a career. Using their creativity, innovation, and engineering background, they created a business that designs furniture for the stylish home or office.
Jet Age Furniture's products are particularly appropriate for minimalist, mid century modern, and contemporary interiors which are inspired from diverse concepts including engineering principles, energy efficiency, aircraft construction, and cocktail culture.
